Helmet: REQUIRED
The TIE pilot helmet as seen in A New Hope and Return of the Jedi. Either from Don Post, Rubies (licensed) or Fan Made. Must meet screen accuracy requirements. Helmet may have flat or bubbled lenses in Dark Gray or Dark Green. It may also have the frown between the teeth drilled out but must be backed by material so that the face is not seen.
The helmet must also have imperial disks (greeblies) on the ear wells.
Markings: OPTIONAL, all black is standard.
Colors of markings may range from chrome to silver, brushed aluminum to light gray to dark gray (gun metal). Other coloration's are not accepted, no kill markings or any other markings NOT shown in these illustrations should be accepted.
Two 2.75" diameter Imperial Emblems in either white or silver should be on the crest of the helmet as seen in the diagrams below.
Keep in mind, that any mixture of these markings should be accepted for Legion Membership. If someone wishes to do an absolutely screen accurate helmet, he or she can use these illustrations as a guide.




Hoses: REQUIRED
Black Ribbed Hoses with a 1.25" diameter and 18" to 21" in length from the helmet hose port to connect to the chestbox upper hose ports. See the ROTJ box listing for the third hose option.
Balaclava: REQUIRED
Black Balaclava or neck seal is required to be worn under the helmet so that no hair or skin can be seen.
Flight Suit: REQUIRED for IC as well
Flight suit should be made to resemble that which is seen on the screen. Military Flight suits are no longer to be worn. Thigh pockets and commpad pockets are added. Coveralls should be modified to be worn links can be found in the ACADEMY under"flightsuits, that with minor alterations can be approved. Again, no one should be purged from the rolls as when old suits are replced they should be replaced with an updated coverall style flightsuit.

The flight suit should also have an either an white on black imperial cog in either an iron on sticker (printed sticker) or patch must be on each shoulder.
There are no hip pockets.Imperial Shoulder Patches: REQUIRED in either 3" to 3.5" White or Silver Cog on Black on both shoulder, one inch from the sleeve seam.


Comm Pad: REQUIRED
The comm pad should sit in a pocket that is visible between the left elbow and gauntlet of the glove.

Take note that this photo shows it being white, that is for Rebel scum. See the illustration below.


Code Cylinders: OPTIONAL
Code Cylinders should be carried in the left shoulder pocket and be either the rebel version X-Tool,

Or the dosimeter style (just be sure its not been irradiated)

Armor: REQUIRED
Should consist of the front and back armor as shown, with two shoulder straps anchored by an octagon of plastic on each end. Black Nylon webbing or elastic should also be allowed to aid in the snug fit of the armor. The shoulder straps should not be load baring. Being plastic they can crack. Not all members are the size of starving actors.

Chestbox: REQUIRED
The chestbox is required to have the same configurations as seen in these photos. Fan made, scratch built should be considered for approval if they come close enough to what is show here. Please note, there are several 1" square x 1/8th" configurations that are to be approved. 2 white, 2 blue / 1 Red, 1 White, 2 Blue, 1 Gray, 1 White, 2 Blue. The rockers are always 2 Gray with dots or lamps in their bottom (LEDs or Lights are totally optional but should be approved.)
ANH: REQUIRED

ROTJ: OPTIONAL
You will notice that this box differs only in that the gray rockers are wedge shaped and that it has a gray hose protruding from the lower left donut and should be connected under the left arm onto the belt.

Belt: REQUIRED for IC as well
Our standard Imperial Black Belt, 2" wide belt with a silver rectangular buckle with rounded corners with an Imperial Disk Emblem in its center and silver button to its left. Grooved along the edge is also accepted. There are otc belts avaliable on Ebay. These buckles are too "oval" to be accepted. See the tutorial on belt buckles in the JRS Academy or the discussions on the JRS Forum.

Gloves: REQUIRED for IC as well
Motorcycle Gauntlet style gloves are required. However, only lateral lines from the wrist to the knuckles should be allowed or without stitching.

Boots: REQUIRED for IC as well
German Jackboots or engineer boots with a buckle at the top are acceptable as well as facsimile to allow for those with wider feet should be accepted. Height on the calf of from 12" to 15" and zippered or with inlaid elastic for fit and ease of wear should be accepted. Lace up combat boots are not acceptable.


OFF DUTY WEAR/ Deck Officer (IC)
Same as above minus helmet, balaclava, armor & chestbox plus an Black Imperial Officer Cap.
